The living room Stayball workout

The living room Stayball workout

Greetings once again. Today I pulled out my trusty stability ball and popped in the DVD. This is an excellent, low impact workout. The ball that I use from Walmart is weighted so you can really get a full body workout. Another great benefit is the cost. I have checked my old receipt and it was $19 + tax. You’re not going to burn a ton of calories because the pace is slower and only 30 minutes but it will have you sweating. The Golds Gym Stayball gets a big thumbs up from Geesjourney.com!

Keep it up. I know trainers (being one myself) can empty your pockets. I’ve found that if you really start monitoring your spending…writing down all of your purchases, it makes it easier to budget at least one training session a week with a trainer who is willing to work with you when times get tough. If you feel the need to spend the money elsewhere though, I suggest investing in fitness magazines and books focusing on anaerobic workouts :) . That way your workout won’t become mundane. I’ve been keeping up with you though! I’m excited for you GEE! Keep going strong! Oh and props to you for working with the stability ball. Your core will thank you. :)

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve been doing a lot of research online about different workouts and corresponding nutrition. I like the idea of using the trainer to get through the plateaus that may cause you to lose focus. I’ll keep that in mind.

Yo, I have a couple of those balls, but had a hard time balancing myself. I don’t think mine are weighted though. I wonder if that makes a difference. They are great alternatives to the traditional weights or machines. Did you have a problem balancing on the ball at first?

I never really had trouble. It sounds like you may have been using a ball that’s too small for you. The sand inside is basically there to keep the ball from rolling away although it does help with balance a bit I guess.
